Re: SP-Map "Search and Destroy"
The helis are my only issue still left behind. It's my first time that I use an active airfield in a mission and I've some trouble to get it run. First I thought to abandon this idea, because you don't really need one, but now I think, that Vietnam without helis doesn't make so much sense. I'm curre...

Re: SP-Map "Search and Destroy"
Surprising thing. I've played the start of this mission around 30 times when scripting and testing and never encountered any trouble in kicking the VC out of the town. When eliminating the enemies in the north try to left some troops there. VC will return two times to the woods and the houses. Maybe...

Re: SP-Map "Search and Destroy"
Hi Viking, first step of the mission needs some patience, but is quite easy regarding the script. You will find a small concentration of VC in the northern part of the suburb - in some of the buildings and also in the narrow woods. You should fight these troops first, because of their mortars. After...

SP-Map "Search and Destroy"
Hi guys, in the attachment you'll find my first mission for the new Vietnam-mod, which I particularly like. It's a singleplayer-map USA vs. VC/NVA, which is a kind of testmap for me, to get a first impression about the units and its opportunities. So far I haven't been able to play the mission up to...

Re: Known bugs in VP
You can't man the sandsack-bunker House No. 613.
When reloading the US heavy 0.5 Browning MG, you need an extraordinary amount of ammunition (100pts per round).
I like the fuel load of the M48 Patton, but I think it has not been planned in this way.
Kind regards

Moin Ente,
ich kann noch nicht genau verstehen, welchen Bunker Du genau meinst, deshalb schick mir gerne einmal ein Foto (ggf. auch per PN).

Enemy mortar troops as part of the heavy infantry don't open fire on player units.

Re: Known bugs in VP
No bug, but a supplement to my comment regarding the protection of the APCs: As already said, the US APCs of the M113 series are too vulnerable to rifle caliber fire. Their 20mm Aluminium armor is more than adequate to protect from these weapons as well as from splinter damage. When examining the no...

Thanks for your advice. Indeed, it was my mistake.
Mission is in progress and the civilians are running again over the map.
Kind regards

Re: Known bugs in VP
When placing neutral units on a map, they get the ability to view trough "the players eyes". This may be funny as a kind of reconnaissance but is definitely a bug, which should be fixed. I think this is necessary, because the current configuration prevents the use of neutral units as reser...

Re: SP-Map: "Buna"

Re: Known bugs in VP
After gaining more experience with your great mod, I again would like to recommend some minor improvements to enhance the realism and the tactical opportunities of this game: I think that overall, the capability of HE artillery and especially mortars against well armored vehicles is too strong. They...

Re: Known bugs in VP
No bugs, but some recommendations: I would put MGs to the ANZAC M113 FSV and to the Ontos. The former one had a coaxial MG and the latter normally had fixed mounted and used them to good effect. I already mentioned the punch of the Sheridan: The Sheridans in Vietnam lacked the AT-rockets, so its nor...
