Barbarossa

I dont know if I well understand this sentence in german in modification list ?

"-deutscher "Pz.Kpfw. IV F2 (75mm KwK40 L/43)" (etwas schächer gepanzert als Version G und H)"

"Pz IV F2 more armored than Pz IV G or H" ?

If I bad understand, dont take of that into account
If I well understand, in parameters WW2 units sites, I dont read the same thing, only 50mm/78° & rounded° (armor basic Pz IV) for F2 (less than G & H)

Any1 else noticed that comet and some other allied tanks dont regenerate hp by themselves?!?
Also i checked the files that contain values for houses and i think their hp values and capacity for inf seem quite random and should be fixed and also most houses should be much easier destroyable me thinks.

Graphic Bug

> Sherman Calliope pass underneath the HMC M40, apparently not with other units

Units suggestions :

> "M8 HMC" - production 1778 ex - 1942 - ligth howitser 75mm M2 - speed 58 Km -
armor max : 45 mm and turett open - based on "Stuart M5" - 15 Ton - (exist in HS2)
http://www.panzerlexikon.de/aarti.htm
http://ww2armor.jexiste.fr/USArmor/File ... enesis.htm
http://ww2armor.jexiste.fr/USArmor/File ... SPG/M8.htm

> Amphibious Sherman tanks (exist in HS2)

> Churchill Mk.V CS - production 241 ex ? (but surely more, exist too of versions Mk.VIII CS & Mk.XI with this gun)
- 95mm Mark I howitzer - Tank (heavy/infantery) - armor max : 101 mm - 39 ton -
http://ww2armor.jexiste.fr/BritTanks/En ... Churchill5

And always this strangeness :

> Matilda II USSR Lend lease have life = 850 & Matilda II UK have life = 650...
(but maybe that there is a reason, USSR had to modify it ?)

Work on final will countinue but I have no idea about a possible realse-date right now. My motivation goes against zero at the moment but I have some free days to mod a bit. Its hard for me to check out how much work needs to be done because I took some weeks break of modding.
Anyway, BETA-5 seems to run well so there is no sersious hurry.

No worries Barbi. You don't need me to tell you in my shit german that you're doing a good job, so I'll tell you in my (probably equally shit  ) english. You're doing a good job.

You have invested a shitload of your personal time to make alot of people happy. And...you're doing it for nothing more than love of the game. It's been a farken herculean effort, especially working alone, and you probably didn't know just how much work you were taking on when you decided to take 6.6 to the next level.

I think you probably at some point lost sight of your schwerpunkt and modded a couple of things, things like certain armour values etc, that just lead to alot of work. Change X and it throws Y way out of whack. Change Y and Z goes to pot... Certain values were already well established and probably shouldn't have been changed. There's a saying in English, probably in German aswell: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Easy to say I know.

It's a great game and a shit game. You can't please everyone. Quite alot of people, myself included, offer quite a few criticisms and suggestions. But you shouldn't take them purely as criticisms. Especially not personal criticisms of your work. We all love this game (otherwise we wouldn't be here 8 years later) and want to see it as good as it can be. Almost every time I play I think afterward "wow, that thing was great and that thing was shit". That's why RWM exists - to maximise the greatness and minimise the shitness.

Anyway, I hope you get the point of what I'm trying to say. Take your time mate. Everyone has motivation slumps every now and then. Keep your chin up. You've come this far...it'd be sort of retarded not to finish it off. You're doing a fine job.

Happy Reunification Day you Germans. I'll have a beer for ya. Noone deserves to be divided and occupied for 50 years. Especially after putting up such a good fight against overwhelming odds. Respect.

Cheers,
Matt

Now that's a good reason to unify. May you stay unified unless there is a truly important reason to split, and I mean really important; for mort of your history you guys have been split up, it makes me feel all spoilt to live in a country that hasn't been successfully invaded for nearly a thousand years and hasn't had a revolution since the 1600's.

And Barbarossa; please don't stop now, . You've done so much, just you with some occaisional help, it'd be a shame to give in now; on the eve of victory, it'd be like the Red army turning back and going home to the USSR from the gates of Berlin. Just one more push and RWM will be done; you could stop, or go on to something else; or just rest on your laurels and be proud of what you have acheived... Just whatever you do, don't stop.
we shall fight them on the beaches and on the fields, we shall fight them in the streets and we shall never surrender, because there isn't a button for that :-) ) And we wont dig fortifications until SS3 =) or after it because the bastards didn't include it...

Yes Barba, take fresh heart ;) There still of things at refine and to put the finishing touches to...
By exemple, after litle up-grade of my tables... I see

Errors or will justified in RWM 6.7B5 ? :
>
"Sherman IIIA & IIA - 765 life ? for armo maxi : 108mm/90° & 32 Ton
In comparison
"Sherman Jumbo" - only 760 life ? for armo maxi : 178mm/90° & 38 Ton

Not rather the reverse ? And same rather around 800 Life for the Jumbo ?
In comparison too with
"T34-85" - 850 Life & 32 Ton for maxi armor 45mm/30° & gun mantlet 90mm/rounded°, same if its armor profile is better...

>
"Sherman" M4A3 76(W)" (Lend Lease USSR) - 800 Life & only 750 for same US unit ?

"Sherman Firefly" only 700 Life ? when the minimum is 750 Life now for the US Shermans

Unit suggestion :
>
To replace (if possible technically ?) anachronique prototyp unit "US heavy tank" (never used in WW2... and never nowhere)
by important WW2 unit "Sherman V (M4A4)" (delete in last RWM version ?)
- prod : 7500 ex - 1942 - armor max : 76mm/60° - 31 Ton - 75 mm M3 long

bye

Real WWII feeling, us Brits stripped out some of the armour and the hull MG to make room for our 17 pounder ATG and it's ammo, so yes it should have a little less armour than the standard M4. (still needs more than now though).
