Thank you guys for taking my idea in making trees as houses.

1. The tree "houses" should be exactly the same as any other tree available in the different schemes.
If you make them different (colour, etc), then they will be easier to spot and will not make the gameplay harder.

2. Maybe some tree "house" should only take 1 soldier, other 2 and the max 3, according to their size.

now i think cassius is right... they should not differ from other trees. the only thing is that only bigger trees should be used as "watchtowers".

i do not want to be nasty about it but or naggy but it in my opnion is make it clear it is a sniper tree.if i ,as map maker i start adding that tree in a forest ,not just one but three for example in say 20 trees and they are used, players will have a hell of a time clearing the forest and that means banging out trees via elimination until they find the snipers.The tree looks too similar to the others ,If it is mixted with others and close i tell you there will be problems.It looks too similar.The "occupied icon" works fine because they are "player" but not "enemy" remember.
Make them more distinctive or we might as well starting using lamposts to host snipers

Please with one tree is enough .if you make 5 or 6 designs we will spend ages to remember which are the good from the bad.One sniper tree well placed camouflafed in a group normal trees is enough i think

TREE DESTROYED AND ANIMATION

Batus, brilliant work.

When these tree houses are blown up, is the destroyed state and animation the same as any normal tree?
Should be!!

On the funny side...when you blow up these, one should be able to see the animation of a flying soldier amidst the flying debris...and maybe a big scream of pain as part of the sound, heh heh heh.

If the guys in the tree are shot by a rifle or machinegun, one should be able to see the animation of a body falling...horizontally!

Just joking!!

the trre looks too normal only the mapmaker will have the advantadge and if he has good memory to send a soldier to it in game

Do not stress man!

You can scout any area of the map with your mouse. It will pinpoint which tree is not a tree...to be or not to be!!

Therefore the tree "house" must be identical as any normal tree.

The amazing fact is we all are so damn used to pay attention to man made structures only, and we ignore all the rest.
By getting "turds" on our heads, we will break this psychologic conditioning and will be more aware of our sorroundings.

You will not create an ecological catastrophe, althought that was the reality in many parts of WWII...
I would not spend my precious ammo in blowing up the woods!!

Agree with Cassius. The sniper tree has to look like a normal tree. theer would be any sense otherwise.

I f there should be dozens of snpertrees on a mapthen- blame it on the mapper ;)
So stop complaining about this wonderfull idea :)

here was another possiblity if the tower is added the propery to shoot look from left to right .if the middle tree is put a bit back you cant see the ladder.
Also check the bunker full of vegetation but still can host soldiers

Batus,

Make it easy to kill anybody on the tree...there no protection as inside in any true house.

Remember that any unit, player or enemy, will react immediatly when shot at, and it will be peanuts to eliminate the guy up there.

Are u choosing this tree as one of them?
