problem with editor 2

Hi again the question I am asking is very simple.Is there a limit of units that can be used in a single mission?
I am creating a very big mission and everything went fine till half way.
Of course there are a lot of active enemy units on the map in defensive and pursuing behaviour.for some reason now I dont know what went wrong the game crashes when loading and I have only covered half of the task.
any ideas? thanks

there is a limit. but don't ask me for the number of units. I think 1000 or so.

I forgot the exact number too but its more than 1000 I think. Maybe something like 3000?
But I guess game-stability depends on unit number and object number. If both are very high, the engine cant handle it and crashes and freezes can happen.

~1040 units per player are allowed. Overall you can place ~4000 units.
If Reeinforcements arrive and you get across the 1000(->per Payer) the game crashes. If the enemy should be huger put the "Neutral" Player to T2 (Enemy) and you got now two enemies with each 1000 units.

Edit: If you want to be shure that the game shouldn´t crash when reeinforcements arrive put in your Script the following block....

and less than 950(<- if the reeinf. are 50 units) units of Player (Enemy) active.

Hi dominik I didnt get the "neutral "player stuff right.You mean "turn" them "enemy" at a certain moment of the game? or do i mess with the "players" button on the top where its says neutral and add them to T2 and change the colour too??? can you be more specific? sorry.

You can turn the Neutral player to the enemy only in the mapeditor.....not ingame.

You are right with the PLayer button. Turn him to Team 2 and what colour you want to use is your decision :wink:

Thanks domonik.So putting player neutral to T2 it becomes enemy 2.i have noticed this means i can put another extra thousand on the active map.what about the ammo and the empty guns?.i am using neutral player on the map. would It affect perfomance?.Can you add allies to t2 also?

Yes, puting him to T2 makes him to an enemy and you can have some additional 1000 enemy units.
You can do the same think with the ally.
The empty guns and crates are each like one tank or man and affect to the 1000 other units per Player (depends which player uses them)
