Warzone 2 mod to be released again soon. Updates etc here.

I'm working on a re release of the old Warzone mod, Modern warfare from Indochina, Vietnam, Falklands, Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan (Soviet and Nato) and WWIII scenarios. I am just working on some of the modern ships adding radar and so forth. Screenies to follow:

Just sorting out some proper english voices over the next day or so and some better animations for the missiles. I'm trying all sorts of creative tricks to make the air and ship warfare better. The Falklands conflict will be highly entertaining.

Would be great if it works right on my german machine. I am sick of all the technical problems. SSNM, CWC and RCM(Xmas Edition) were the only i had no technical problems.

It should work fine as everything is custom. I'm sure we can fix it so it does, if you do have problems.

Maybe would be interesting to make a sp map indochina. Or with the ships.

I'm working on a few maps.

Dien Bien Phu

1. Arrival. Capture the town and airfield, secure it against counter attack.
2. Consolidate: From Dien Bien Phu French forces patrol into the hills with artillery and air support, several missions in one.
3. Defend: The Viet Minh attack over a long period, hold the strongpoints and reinforce by paratroops when possible.

Falklands:

Using lots of ships, air attack, exocet attacks, land at San Carlos, SAS raid on Pebble Island, yomp out from San Carlos to take Goose Green and Stanley, capture the hills around Stanley, finally attack and liberate Stanley. Just working on this and its very difficult.

We Were Soldiers

Several minor missions for US troops to patrol into the Jungle. Then get ammuntion across the Jungle to Landing Zone Falcon for artillery support later. Part three, carry troops by helicopter into Landing Zone X Ray, keep reinforcing against enemy counter attack and finally move into the hills to clear the enemy HQ. Lots of frantic efforts to keep the helicopters coming in and reinforcements arriving, keep ammo flow going etc.

Soviet Attack into Germany circa 1985.

Map done, mission will be air and land assault across the border to capture a town.

Seems then mod is already playable, you can release. If something new comes you can make a new release. No need to wait months, like some other modders do. Community is small, after months maybe everything is forgotten.

Great! Maybe i can import some maps, i have many unfinished maps from other mods. And i know how to convert between schemes, but there is more or less correction necessary after it.

Apologies, Ive set up the auto install file etc and just completed several maps but for some odd reason there was a crash to desktop on one of them and I still cant locate the faulty unit. It may be a map error, I changed a map with a mission already connected to it and that specific mission crashes. I cant replicate it elsewhere.

Upload date will be 30th or 31st as I am away from home until then. Thankfully Ive taken the time to do some planning and minor adjustments so its not been wasted time.

Thanks for the patience. Ive set up a web site that isnt finished but is working ok.

I will try my best to get the upload sorted today but as its New Years Eve and the wife is giving me hell every time I load up the computer, its Warzone in my house more than its Warzone on the computer. Anyway, all is almost prepared. Still cant replicate the error so I assume it was a map scripting problem.
