one thing really good would be to have forts in the desert. like foreign legion. do you know the walls from liberation mod? they have a good wall and tower too. and some very good buildings for asia scheme. with a set of walls, towers and buildings it would be possible to build any kind of fort like with the walls in ss2. a good fort would give the real kick.

Hi!
I calculated the new ranges of howitzers in RCM. I tested it. In my oppinion, the real distance of fire is very good.
And another step to real feeling: the howitzers has only one bullett in the gun.
With this new system you can use complete artillery regiments with 20-25 howitzers.
The howitzers need ammobox or supplytruck. After a shoot the guncrew reload the howitzer and fire again, like in the real battlefield.
If somebody want test this new system, I can send the desc_summer.sue file for testing in PM.

The original campaigns aren't working in RCM. It's a legacy from the RCM2.0-RCM2.5. When Schelle made this Mod he changed something. The campaign's don't working.
But in my oppinion the original campaigns would be very difficult and ungameble.
For example: The maps of british campaign will be extrahard, becouse you can't kill the german heavy tanks with matilda and tetrarch tanks. Only the Comet can destroy the kingtigers when shot with his gun to the back of the Kingtigers.
And the new artillery system would be a real nightmare in the original maps.

Lot of poeple are interested in the new RCM scheme. This is a mixed scheme, but at thi stime we have lot of new onw objects and houses.

That looks really good, especially the flags on the houses i like. With them it is possible to mark special buildings like headquarter and others. It is refreshing to have some new bitmaps from time to time as one might gets bored some day about the old ones.
Maybe easiest: to add 2d object in horizontal objects! They cant stand upright and units cant go behind them, but one can create blocked fields himself, so units can go on the roof of building or on top of a mountain! Really cool effect and seldom seen.

Good news:
I will upload the new files to Slyder at sunday evening.
Now we are testing the bugfix+addon+artillery patch....
Some changes:
-Artillery units has only one bullet in the barrel of the gun, and has real shot ranges
-Polish 7TP tank can damage the light tanks (before this it couldn't damage anything)
-some old and ugly units will be replaced with new unit.
-the german and engineer, medic and AT-rifle soldiers has german helmet
-the american and british AT soldiers has not german helmets.
-the polish uniform is brown now
-The hungarian uniform is little bit different green
-Romanian tanks have dark-green camouflage
-Laffly, Lancia, Polski-Fiat 621L, C4P truck can tow guns faster than before (same speed like german and other trucks)
-the rain effect don't decrease the range of view
-there is a new scheme called "westernfront" but it's only fantasy-name. You can make eastern front map with this scheme too.
-false names of unit were fixed: Sd.Kfz. 234/1, M30 HMC 75 mm, Boot (it was *BAD* unit), 39M Kiraly SMG, Alvis K6 etc...
-german, hungarian, british sniper are now Scout units. (They look like a rifleman, but can use binaculars, and they can hide on the ground and they can shot like snipers. They are precision-gunners... Elite-Schützen... Első-lövészek)
-the small AT-guns (37-47 mm) has a little bit bigger shot-range...

New, complete RCM2.7 aviation fix is under contruction. Th ebeta version is ver ygood.
All the planes have real weapons and real parameters (similar like the ground vehicles and the artillery).
The speed, the manowar-ability is historical.
And new planes in the game:
4 new versions of Bristol beaufighter
3 new version of Hurricane
2 new version of spitfire
4 new version of polish P11C
4 new version of French Potez plane
1 new version of french Ms-406 plane
3 version of italian Cr-42
and i don't know, maybe Attila will write a comple list about new planes...

We are really eager-beavers. We are working on the RCM 2.8.
We think the RCM-fans will be ver yhappy when we will finish our job.

So... you shot one and you have to wait 1,5 minutes to hot again. It will be the really, but I think it will be better to change the reloadtime to 30-40 seconds only.
After we replaced the sudden strike "automatic howitzers" with real "single shot" howitzers the gameplay is very good. But the 10 howitzer in an army is too strong. I hope the real reloadtime will change this and you can use 20-25 howitzer in an army.
(Becouse it is very funny, when the Red army has one or two howitzers in a real MP map.)
The planes in RCM are real. real speed, real HP and real everything.
The next stage is the speed of the vehicles and the experience system developing.
For example very funny that the experienced AT guns and the tank guns can shot stronger and bigger range.
And the final good news:
In sudden strike there is not real wized mahcines. For example the trucks, planes etc...
I show you a picture only for the real size.
And the original sentence: New units will appear in RCM, and lot of prototype and funny units will disappear from RCM.....
