Use shadows (lighten/darken under terrain) for the river.

Hehe, this is turning into a gallery...
@viriato
Dude, I think I need my sunglasses.
I find the road blends in quite well with a bit of hatching. Try the hatching, thats what its there for

Hi Cassius,
this scheme is at this time only available for mappers. Write a pm to Barbarossa if you are a mapper.

Well, I am not a RWM mapper per se.
I download Mods, play around with them, etc.
I see, at this stage it is only for certain people...ok!
Will it be available for other people? soon?
I hope so.
Regards

Available in the final 6.7 - sure. Without a modificated map, der is no advantage for playing.

Viriato,
Image 3... yellow brown fields bordering green fields is a sharp contrast and might look a little unrealistic.
Image 1 and 2, there is not much green to contrast with the corn fields, and the rest of the colours are more harmonising plus the fencing...much better.
Remember guys, corn fields, before they turn yellow brown, they are also green...
Just a thought...

The picture 3 the brown field is meant to be some sort of hortyard or vineyard .Not green grass. The land is ploughed so they have taken out weeds and grass.I do not want to get into a discussion about gardening or farming.I agree though that there is a big contrast.I think there should be a medium wheat tone to soften the change from corn to grass that is maybe asking too much.I wouldnt mind some light brown shrubs too.The green sticks out sometimes too much near the yellow but we are not painting hehehehe

its wheat i think....

what we are using.Anyway I do not think it is that important once it looks reasonably good. You cant expect great wonders with this old ss2 engine. And it is up to mapmakers imagination whatever they do.I have seen grat games played in very simple maps
