Fleischfresse hat geschrieben: Very well, your work looks great, indeed. In case you still need some suggestions, how about:

1. a dam, I think it is quite difficult to create an object like that since you have to use something like a cliff. But if you could realize that, we could create a map with scenarios as the Edersee assault or the Moehnetalsperren assault.

2. a drill tower, this could be usefull for maps which are located in South Russia.

A drilling platform would be useless with an eye on war related incidents (imho).

Just two ideas from my side...
1) ok, i will try it (btw. is possible make dam with standard objects -

2) any photos ? im not sure how drill tower looks :)

hmmkay, here is a first glimps of the product of my maiden attempt at creating a new object..

It's a knocked out TigerI with a blown off turret.

It's a jpeg image, so the quality is rather dreadful..

In regarding to dams, they should be destructible so a cliff would be impossible anyway I guess.

See some drilling platforms attached.

Btw. How you guys create these kerbstones as you can see on the dam pic and on some other screenshots (especially in city maps)?

They are damaged stone walls.

For some reason the record editor wont accept the following file when saved as a 24bit Bitmap image.

Could any1 help me with this?

1) you cant use antialising or trasparent tools, filters, copy&paste etc.
2) and background is bad too it must be ONE color

last picture is edited and right

Many thanks Last Soldier.. I didnt have a clue what anti-aliasing was until you pointed out the gradient pixels. I assume anti-aliasing smoothens the edges of an image by building a rim of pixels that mimic backgroup color around it?

Anyway... below you will find a link to the near to final version of my destroyed tiger. I've darkened it a bit and added some shadows (angle is pretty tricky and really impacts the overall spatial appearance of the object)

Np. Exist more ways but first dont draw with brush/tools what use antialiasing or other effects and dont draw to this background (RGB 255,0,255).

If you have antialiased object from photography, game screenshot or if you resize objects you can remove it by specific tools:

1) merge all objects
2) copy image
3) paste image and remove background color/pixels

I use Photoimpact but in Photoshop or other software is similar or you can normal repaint wrong pixels to the other color.

In google exist lot of tutorials.

I encountered another prob that I hope one of you may have an answer to.

In photoshop, the yellow parts of the Junkers appear in a normal, bright yellow. When i load the .bmp in the editor however, the integrity of the colors is lost and the yellow parts appear to be greenish..

Look that your photoshop color-mode is set to RGB Color, otherwise the color-attributes get lost.
