How to load tanks onto ships? Does anyone know? I checked the UNITS file but couldn't find any syntax related to enabling/disabling transport.

Cougar6 (PWM developer) wrote about this topic (google translation):
"But it's no big secret—the tank is defined as a crate in the editor. You can also just unload it.
I've assigned an icon to it, and it also has no crew, so it can drive off immediately after being unloaded. All in all, it looks like it's supposed to be this way, but it's just another workaround to override the engine.
With this method (and I haven't come up with another one yet), the only real problem is that the engine always places a loaded mechanical unit where the last "container"—that is, a unit containing another unit—was unloaded. That's why I always place infantry in the landing craft as well.
Then an infantryman is unloaded first (he always appears in front of the landing craft), and then the tank is unloaded directly afterward.
A quick addendum—this works the same way with other units, e.g., artillery, and even a bit better with it because it doesn't have a crew.
You can take advantage of the fact that in the editor, a unit can be classified multiple times—for example, as "atg/gaub" for guns and additionally as "machine"—then they appear in the selection so they can be loaded into transports.
I created the tank without a crew as a separate unit for this purpose—the tanks in the mod otherwise have normal crews."

Hope this will help you...
