activate "M" strategic key map on HS2

when i read that forum i think they dont know the game HS2 ..
maybe they talk about Lula 3D+..

for HS2 is a trick to reactivate the "M" key.. (view strategic map..
just use your KEY.MAP file and with "files properties" (right mouse) make it "READ ONLY"
so the HS2 start exe dont overide your personnal KEY.MAP and you can use your "M" key again..

just need to change that..
open the KEY.MAP and change the value to the key.

if you are experimented with ASCII codes you can ajust all key you need for your game..

Or you can use the Alt + Caps Lock key combination.
Then you will not have to change any files.

depend of the version keyboard you use.. caps lock is enouth.. (HS1)

caps lock is from UK version,

player of HS1 can found this verry funny when AP team announce by vote that they cut the "M" key but they just change the Key.map from uk version.. and reverce for DE version..

so some user find directly the "TRICK" but some not...

never the "M" key was deactivated.. just changed by mistake from other version used..

.... wenn man HS 2 als "Stand Alone" auf die Platte legt kommt man doch so einfach gar nicht an die Key.map Datei ?

a tips to get the KEY.MAP for user who never use any ss2 or HS1 before..


on the HS2 the file is decompressed on start of the EXE..

- execute the game like normal "aprm_exe.exe icon" stay on the HS2 menu and return to desktop..

- go to HS2 game installed and you can see the "key.map" file..

- use your mouse on it, "right klick" and choice file atributs.. check "READ ONLY" so the file is not deleted when you exit the game.
make your change you want on it and that stay all the time until the key.map files is read only..

Das ist die Tastenkombination, die standardmäßig eingetragen ist.

Einfacher geht es natürlich mit M =Minimap .

.... Nachteil - wenn man die Minimap "feststellt" das sie sichbar bleibt ohne "Tasten gedrückt zu halten" - für die ganz Dummen ... ... muss man teilweise "fummeln" um sie wider zurück zu stellen, was ich über die "M"-Taste noch nicht hatte ...

"M" key is not the minimap, mini map is showed all the time on your screen, is the Strategic map, a full screen of the map where is show units alocation.. "RED DOT" is the enemy

usefull when you search enemy in houses.. Multiplayer and solo games.

soory, mein englisch ist ja leider nicht das beste, aber mich würde das auch interesieren, da bei mir bei HS die M taste nicht geht..
was könnte ich da tun?
