Its awesome! Somehow the old ss2 summer scheme seems so naked and empty now

The following is a stupid and hopeless question from someone without hope who is pretty much certain he knows the answer but will ask anyway out of desperation:

is it possible to transform/alter a map from SS2 summer scheme so that it can be loaded in the new Scheme? (ie- so that I can use those new wheatfields in it)

OR, is there anyway to get the wheatfields and other objects into a map from a different scheme?

I just thought that maybe because all the normal objects etc from the SS2 summer scheme are also in the new ostfront scheme it might be possible :?

I'm pretty much certain its impossible but would be absolutely stoked if someone would prove me wrong :D

Cheers,
Matt

I havent received the link yet but about the second question about transfering stuff from one schem to another i support the idea.I do not know much about the ss2 interior engine guts but i think it is a matter of moving or tranfering objects from one scheme file to another. The problem comes when you create a new object static mesh which i suppose you need a designers programme like maya or autodesk but maybe i am wrong? It would be ideal to have all the shemmes in one single "mega shemme" so you could add anything you wanted without being conditioned by compartimentation.but i suppose it is impossible with original ss2 layout

Only restriction would be the landscape textures like grass, water etc.

Hi i installed the new schemme today and I have a few questions or reports to state.maybe a specific thread should be open for the new schemme in the english rwm as this one sounds more like a simple announcemmment .any opinions?

Yep. That and also the object sequencing is different. For example, a cliff section in SS2 summer is a free object in the new scheme.

So the only hope would be to add a couple of objects (like the bloody wheatfields) retrospectively to the old scheme :? .

Damn it I want those fields

Well unless you want the the landscape of the SSF summer scheme, you should be fine with the new scheme, since it has almost everything from the SSF summer, including houses and objects. And with all the new free objects, you should be able to create a nicer landscape than with the SSF summer anyway.

Yeah I know. Its heaps better. Just about everything in it. Problem is just that I have nearly finished a map with ss2 summer and would love the fields in it. Shite happens I spose.

I will probably use the new scheme for most future maps though.

You could copy / center paste it into a new scheme, although fences and ground texturing and shadowing will be lost and some roads are replaced or have switched their former place with a new one. Or the whole stuff will be fucked heh

Hehe. First thing I tried but quite a lot of objects are switched around in the sequence. All the cliffs are gone for example and replaced by free objects. So yeah, basically it fux the lot up.

I loaded a SS2 summer map and copy pasted t he content onto an empty Eastern scheme map; after a brief look I only noticed that some of the roads have changed and maybe some rocks to puddles. Nothin major though.

Ok. I kacked that up  All the cliffs are still there, they were just covered by some massive new free objects which in ss2 summer were small rocks. Should've checked better

Still way too much work replacing all the terrain and shadows and free objects...
