General Lameers please HELP. Can I upgrade it directly from v 1.9 to v.2.2, and HOW, HELP !

Here is what happened : I have downloaded and installed the game (after a long long time), but primarelly to play RWM mode. Game version was 1.9. So I ve downloaded the patch in order to uprade it to 2.0 version, moved it to the game directory ant ran it. After that, game would NOT start !
