And up till today, with the help of the player,s admins, SSM forum team and moderators, the mod still has a wide popularity and has arrived to version 8.5 for SSRW
However things aren't as great as they seem. Today RWM community has become like an isolated cave in the highest mountains of centeral Asia, why is that?
Many great players like Blubla, Fritz, Mich, LS, and others have quitted the mod, and decided to not play it for the rest of their lives, one of the reasons is the toxicity of some players like Dentist, who still played until had to be banned this year permanently, after coming back from time to time. This was only thanks to my, and badger lowe's efforts to get him out of the community due to how idiotic he is.
Another reason is that the game itself makes no sense, sure the mod is great and amazing. But at the same time there are some very annoying mechanics in the game which cannot be explained, or conditions where if you are up against 2 players in the battle, you are dead so being good in the mod isn't really about for your skill, rather exploiting the game or teaming up on players to achieve victory. Additionally, the mod, although has arrived to version 8.5 still has questionable balances, like how a BR-5 mortar cannot kill a P40 tank in close range directly hit

One of the great advantages is that there are big games available everyday, but they are the exact same players playing the mod since ages, playing the same maps with the same tactics and same scenarios that happen, there isn't more than 2-3 maps released every year if you are lucky, sometimes no maps are released at all.
This is all something, and what happens on the communication platform is something else.
The community uses the platform "Whatsapp" to communicate and organise games. This isn't as good as it sounds, there aren't any rules obeyed by the admins (and some players in the top 10 players ranking) in communication, they can send whatever they like, if it includes insulting new players, or sending 18+ content there. I personally have always been a victim of this, and still tried ignoring it until I've had enough.
Even if you want to join, it isn't as easy as it sounds : all the good admins like Mayor either left or were removed from administration by the admin named "Wuja", who is abusing his administration to banning players as he wants, or give warning to certain players (including me) even if nothing was done wrong. He also gives rights and admins to players who don't deserve it at all, or not even that experienced in the game. Just because he is friends with them and does what they want, not concerning what the community needs.
What does this mean?
Today, if you are a new member who wants to join, you will be asked to go on TS to verify you aren't either me, or badger lowe because we were banned for no reason, and they don't want us to be back. So they want to verify that you aren't either of us.
Even though, over 5 new members were banned by Wuja and Vonleonardof (admins of WA) over the past few months for absolutely no reason.
In conclusion : RWM is no longer a good mod, and the community today is ruled by toxic admins/players who don't care but to get goods stats and kill noobs in games or insult them on Whatsapp or Teamspeak.
SO PLEASE, don't join this community...
