, even in february, as is grass. I do not consider flat grassy textures as 'summerlike'. For a summer scenario I would use tall grass (vertical) to represent lush growth effectively.

But I'm talking about deciduous trees and shrubs.

Re: Operation Gemse: battle of Lauban
Many shrubs are also green all year so I think it's safe to use them You are right about some of the trees though. I will replace them when I start detailing the map.

Landscape without green trees look more realistic for February.
Editor has also yellowed shrubs and small trees (in vertical objects and trees).

So.. the map is finally done - more or less. I will surely make some minor changes over time and add some additional detail.

Some more ingame shots:
The first part of the game will focus on the defense of Lauban in the days preceding the counter-attack.
The screens below show the aftermath of a preparatory artillery barrage on Lauban.

Re: Operation Gemse: battle of Lauban
The overall objective of the game will be to encircle the enemy. The map below shows thee possible routes through which encirclement can be achieved. A Large, medium and small pocket are possible, depending on the body of towns captured. Enemy Troops/units inside each of the pockets will suffer a penalty once encirclement is effective. this way, a larger pocket will affect a larger number of enemy troops. I am still thinking about how to implement such a 'penalty'.
