i have Hidden stroke 2 on disk, i have tried it in windows 7 and 10
The launcher always opens, when i click start or i think single player it closes and nothing happens

is this a well know issue? thanks for your time

Well it is with me at least!

Assuming that you are trying to run it with the CD-ROM in the drive you will have to re-enable the secdrv service.

Don't forget to disable it afterwards for security reasons.

This applies to many old PC games with SafeDisc and SecuROM.

Does KB3086255 ring any bells for you?

Of course you can always use a dodgy No-CD patch instead but I do not personally recommend this.

And turn on DirectPlay in Legacy Components too.

Make sure you have all the usual Microsoft Visual C++ stuff installed.

And of course avoid installing the game in the default folder directory if using a 64-bit system, use C:\Games instead.

the English one I believe, it does not work though

That seems a bit defeatist to any Hidden Stroke purist but whatever!


Hidden Stroke II disc runs just fine on Windows 7/8.1 after some tweaking.
Perhaps Windows 10 is a bigger problem! That comes as no surprise really.
