I hope you got Gareth's permission to use that topic title badger!...That's right! I have a good memory.

Technically speaking that's actually WAW 2.2 and not MWAW 2.2 regardless of what the file name may have been changed to.

My goodness you are confused!..Why did MWAW3 come into it?
It's WAW2.2....What is the .zip file name?

If you are making comparison to that MWAW3.3.zip file of yours from 39-45strategie.com then I'm afraid I have to tell you that someone saw fit to change the file name from WAW3.3.zip to MWAW3.3.zip. WAW3.3 being the last WAW mod before MWAW by the same modder..Perhaps that is the source of your confusion.
I'm sure that I already hinted at this on an earlier topic.

I downloaded it from a Russian site called synthria, the file was called MWAW3 (maybe it is),
can you please share WAW 2.2 with me , I have never laid eyes upon it i have only heard you speak of it

Yes I am aware of this site. And now I see your confusion. I must admit this caused me to scratch my head a little since there was a WAW2.2 release.

I have checked out this synthira-mwaw33.zip of yours against an original 2003 copy! The sue file size and time stamps are legit!
Now rename that .zip to WAW3.3zip and NOT MWAW3.3.zip for authenticity unless you want me to spit blood!..Congrats you have WAW3.3.

I think the modder neglected to update the menu background or perhaps it refers to the main game patch being 2.2..Only Herr_today can tell you this for sure.

But I can confirm it's WAW3.3 and not WAW2.2.
