Sardaukars instant modder kit .. completly untested
----------------------------------------------------
unzip into <sust2> to get a barebone modderkit:
# multimodswitcher v1.00 (actually not released yet heh) with CDV and MMS config.
+ used to switch between various mods on the markets if you wish. SSNM, RWM6, HELLFIRE etc.
+ used to switch back to normal modes keeping existing install intact.
+ used to bootstrap testmaps, meaning it loads without all the menues directly into the map.
# hellfire mod v0.89 (placed in game\mymod)
+ small mod, few files, easy to customize, this is the mod you will be fuckin up and thus mutating your mod from. remember to give credits for this to HellCat.
+ reason for using this one is its nice and small.
# a mod configuration in ss2switcher
+ the mymod is to be customized by you (please also rename the directory name), but will function as reference info to the switcher and its loaded when the mms starts and tells where to look for various files
+ sudtest.ini and test3.ini custumized to a hellfire v0.89 version but put in non-hellfire-standard directory and thus runs alongside your normal hellfire.
# sue tools and batch files
+ tools and batch files to compile and decompile sue files are located in the game\mymod directory.
# other tools
+ old versions of d_spraches sust_stuff and sust_units are put game\mymod just for fun. goto suddenstrike.dk?p=downloads to get new tools and additional .pck (unit) files for your mods.
TODO LIST (for you)
-------------------
customize ss2switcher\mymod to your needs if you wish or use it as you want to. goto english cdv forum if you have questions.
When testing what you modding does, use incremental steps and use a simple testmap to explore it. The fastes way is to use the bootstrap
in the switcher. Select a map and press bootstrap to start sust with this map. For even faster loading (advanced users) use windowed sust. It looks like crap, but you get your stuff tested faster. This can be changed in the sudtest.ini file (fullscreen= i think)
Also, always help others in discussions .. they might help you along the way .. and ask your questions in public, not in same closed private
forum wheren one benefits from it. Keep it open, if its not commercial. If it is, its not apart of the community.
Have fun, send you thoughts to Unknown Soldier if you like this package ..)
Greetings
---------
greetingz to Erdbeer, D_sprache, Fireglow, Hellcat, Otcho and Saizew for being jolly sports. Greetings to all of the users of the CDV board ... especially Unknown Soldier whom I actually made this package for) ..
Word of advice!, dont buy the mods - they should be free! Go down to the shop and replace your warez sust with an original instead. They damn deserved it - Its the engine that does it all, not the damn modder team tweaking it.
Dem ist nichts mehr hinzuzufügen!
