Re: SS3 Modding: Tutorial 1. Programs.
All perfect. Well, I spent yesterday and the day before trying to get an SAS/SBS/SEALS rigid raider into the game that I scratch built. I started by using the Daihatsui landing craft as a template until I realised it was by far the worst landing craft model in the game for manouverability etc. All glitched and rubbish. So I decided to use the US/UK infantry landing craft. We now have a fast attack speed boat and I like it, it looks cool in the game. SAS/SBS/Seals missions here we come.
Re: SS3 Modding: Tutorial 1. Programs.
That's good news. I would love to see it.
I'm also waiting for further tutorials.
I didn't try the OE yet. I rather wait to get the original game in the next couple of weeks, then dive into the files.

Re: SS3 Modding: Tutorial 1. Programs.
The Mod database page is up and running with a few of the images. Lots of work to do, but as you can see it's progressing nicely.

Why do we have keep jumping webs in order to follow the mod?Herr_today hat geschrieben:The Mod database page is up and running with a few of the images. Lots of work to do, but as you can see it's progressing nicely.

Re: SS3 Modding: Tutorial 1. Programs.
You don't. I'll be keeping everything ticking over and running in this forum, but the Mod Database allows me to post videos and images and eventually load up the mod or its early demo version. Also ModDB might get a bit of help and raise some interest.

Re: SS3 Modding: Tutorial 1. Programs.
There are certain limitations to the game, as I am discovering.
Ships do not have anti aircraft capability (this can be sorted to an extent by making custom anti aircraft units into ship objects. They will only have an AA capability with missiles).
Aircraft do not dog-fight, so interceptors do not intercept other air units. No workaround for this.
