Download, Run, Extract to the mod`s main directory

CHANGES:
- All unit names are translated to English
- Also editor triggers are translated to English
- Now there is ability to set the mod in Russian and then back in English (by the contents of "RUSSIAN-ENGLISH" folder)
- M125 self-propelled 81mm mortar now can fire
- The ARVN`s 20mm A1 Skyrider armament is fixed
- LCPL landing craft is armed with 12.7mm M2 Browning
- A large number of old unneeded files from the mod`s archives is removed


Dear friends, we gladly present you Vietnam Project 1.1
This modification covers the period of Indochina wars:
- First Indochina War (1946 — 1954)
- Vietnam War (1957 — 1975)

Also the mapmakers will be able to make missions about:
- Sino-Vietnamese War (1975)
- Cambodian-Vietnamese War (1975 — 1989)
- Laotian Civil War (1960—1973)
- Cambodian Civil War (1967—1975)

All the units and infantry are made according to their real look/camouflage/uniforms etc.



IMPORTANT: There is a problem with mission UNBOWED VIETNAM. We know about It, but we need time to fix It.

IMPORTANT FOR THE MISSIONMAKERS: The following transport helicopers have no stock. But they can properly leave the map after landing, by script. So you can use them for imitation of dropping troops, sending the soldiers via flag near to the landed helicopter as a reinforcement.

Meanwhile i got some spare time to had a look at your Mod. It looks very well done, thats what i was waiting for a very long long time.
Units are nice and like i had mentioned above, the infantry is also looking very very nice.

But one thing which will really avoid people playing it who are not peaking russian, so please take your time to make a full english version for it, more people can and will enjoy it. Because of only russian language, the immersion and the gameplay will get lost.

This Mod has great potential regarding nice and thrilling maps, so please keep working on it and also the english version !!

Nice to hear that. I`m wery glad If tis is the only problem. Translation of unit names requires long time, but we can try to translate some mission.

I tried your mod today and must say: very good work! The units are nicely done and the Vietnam scheme offers a lot of possibilities. But I have second GFM Sterna’s wish, without a translation of the unit names (especially in the editor) it will be very hard for non-Russian people to create realistic missions.

Anyway I started a new map today. Obviously it is far from finished, but I try to create a rural part of Vietnam for a generic Search and Destroy mission with farms, villages and rice paddies. This is what I’ve done so far…

Nice to look there are mapmakers interested in VP here. I got tne point and I`m already working on unit names and even put my own map away. I hope shortly there will be full english patch. Your screen looks good, keep drawing, we will keep translating

Looks nice so far, but i find it weird that the Haiphong mission is very similar ,from the design of the map, to the mission from RWM 8.0 "drang nach osten".

I saw the "New mod from Russia" description of this thread and I'd like to ask you to remove this description. This mod is not from Russia.

I have been following your mod from the very early stages and I must say congrats! Outstanding work, I really like that you have a very high quality and consistent look in your units and a lot of nice ideas for the details! Infantry is really fantastic! Keep it up!
