Sudden Strike 1,2 & 3 at GOG

Interesting news! Sudden Strike 1, 2 and 3 available at GOG (DRM-FREE).
Sudden Strike Gold includes Sudden Strike Forever and both Total War map packs.
Sudden Strike 2 Gold includes Resource War and Total Victory map pack.

I wonder if these will have improvements such as widescreen and higher screen resolutions? I suspect not.
The source codes have been lost.

Bizarrely GOG only offer the Sudden Strike series in the English language! So unfortunately you will have to look to Steam or elsewhere for multi-language support.

'Be Warned' The game directory structure on both Steam and GOG versions differ to that of the original disc media releases, so you may well find that some addon mods especially the older ones will not work!

Update 18/12/2018: Good news! With the exception of Sudden Strike: The Last Stand GOG now support German (Deutsch) audio and text on all Sudden Strike releases including French and Russian text with limited audio support.

Perhaps GOG read my comments here........Unlikely!

For SuSt 3 GOG Version I can say, that nothing was improved for the game. They just fixed installers to work properly on Windows 10. Works fine now.

Well at least that's something! Windows 10 is a massive pain for a lot of things.
I went back to Windows 8.1 after using Windows 10 for a while, no regrets at all. Also still using my good old XP desktop from time to time.
Now I'm just dreading the day I'm forced to jump ship.

How can i Install the RWM or SSNM Mod Version to the GOG Versions of the SS Series 1&2?

Die älteren Mods setzen die Verzeichnisstruktur der ursprünglichen SuSt-Versionen voraus. Da gibt es schon seit der Universe-Compilation immer wieder Probleme. Wenn das Installationsverzeichnis der GOG-Versionen den gleichen Aufbau hat wie bei SuSt Universe, dann gibt es hier im Forum irgendwo einen Workaround, mit dem man die alte Verzeichnisstruktur wieder herstellen kann.
Ist der Aufbau anders als bei SuSt Universe, dann kannst du in ähnlicher Form versuchen, die alte Verzeichnisstruktur herzustellen und dann die Mods zu installieren.

Except for Sudden Strike: The Last Stand all GOG releases of Sudden Strike 1-3 now support German (Deutsch) audio and text.
