How do I get HS2 or any of the Sudden Strike Games to use my monitors 1920 x 1080 settings ?
I know that in the game Homeworld 2 you can change the settings from the properties box in the shortcut.
It seems that the game actually looks better on a CRT monitor [I have a NEC 21" flatscreen CRT] than on a 27" Asus flatscreen.
I tried changing the resolution on the flatscreen down to the game's highest race, but it still looks the same.

How can I open Hidden Stroke maps in the Converter because I can't figure out the proper path so that the program can find the maps.

No chance, there is no patch or fix for higher resolutions.
Old CRT monitors uses a different method to display, picture still "pixel perfect" in various resolutions. And yes, it looks better than LCD.
LCD have two modes:
1) 1:1 pixel perfect = small picture in center (1024x768)
2) Scaling - it would be fullscreen but slightly blurred. I use this method.
